And when you dive into details of real personal experiences at this resort, you’ll find it superb at almost every aspect that most travelers care about：

Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Cancún, opened in 2018, is the new adults-only resort property of Iberostar in Cancun. Though without special treats for honeymoon couples, its advantages for a perfect vacation of two are so outstanding and unique that I put it into this list.

This resort consists of just one boutique building with all other Iberostar public facilities around in a larger area. All the rooms are 100% oceanfront with a balcony showing the stunning and unobstructed view. On every balcony, you have a tub or a pool equipped, allowing you to enjoy the scenery in the water with your loved one.

The beach is so near that you get immediately on it when stepping out of the gate. The cleanliness of the beach and pools is always mentioned in guest reviews. Actually not just the beach, but all the core amenities like restaurants and bars are within easy reach.

In the larger area there are a spa center, an 18-hole golf course, 10 pools of different types (eg. cabana pool), a beauty salon, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a FIFA football pitch and a diving center, etc. Different shows are put on everyday. And all these are for you to enjoy if you choose to spend your honeymoon at Coral Level.

Last but not least, I highly recommend you to try the couple massage at Sky Palapas. It’s an outdoor massage space at the top of the hotel. You get to taste the intimacy and relaxation overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean Sea.

We ended up going here for our honeymoon and I wouldn’t have changed It for the world. The entertainment events/shows at night were great! Yoania was also a wonderful manager for the coral level food. She hosted a BBQ night and it was amazing. Lastly, the atmosphere was very relaxing. There is a beautiful salt water pool that overlooks the ocean. Then there is a stunning beach with comfortable beach chairs.

4. Beloved Playa Mujeres

If you’re a fan of boutique hotels and want your honeymoon to be more idyllic and away from the crowds, Beloved Playa Mujeres can be your one pick in Cancun. It’s opened in 2009 under the Excellence Collection and has been dedicated to exclusive service for couples since 2016.

The exquisite suites are not many, packed in a tropical area, with 3 big swimming pools surrounded tightly. So I suggest that you book the swim-up suite and get fully soaked in the ambience. The staff team can serve all the guests with more details and passion, cooking you tailored food, lifeguarding you, allocating you a hostess of your room and a concierge at beach and so on.

The spa products are especially designed for couples. You have more than just couple massages, but also treatments and rituals in private couple rooms. Among all these I have to mention the seasonal spa offerings that differ from time to time. They are a time-limited surprise and a kind of extra romance for lovers in their honeymoon.

The dining and drinking options are stunningly abundant for a boutique resort. You’ll be surprised that you can find so many different styles of bars. But whether the food and liquor is good enough vary in opinions from past customers.
