How to Find out If Someone Has Multiple Snapchat Accounts | 4 Easy Tricks

How to Find out If Someone Has Multiple Snapchat Accounts | 4 Easy Tricks

Worried you’re not seeing the whole picture of someone’s online life? It’s completely normal, especially with a partner, spouse, or teenager. After all, people often show different versions of themselves across various social media platforms. To get the whole story, you need to know where they’re hanging out online. Snapchat is a popular place for socializing, so it’s a good place to start.

But what if they’re using a secret account? Finding hidden Snapchat profiles takes a bit of detective work, and we’ve got some tips to help. In this post, we’ll share a few options for finding out someone’s other Snapchat accounts.

A quick guide

The most important clues that can lead to someone’s other Snapchat accounts are their phone numbers and usernames. So we can start with finding these two:

There are also some clever search tricks you can try:

Even without a Snapchat account, you can still view someone’s Snapchat profile.

1. Find their other phone numbers & sync contacts

Phone numbers provide the most relevant lead for finding someone’s Snapchat accounts. That’s because to create a Snapchat account, you’ll need to provide either a unique phone number or email address for verification[1]. And among the two, only phone numbers can directly pinpoint the associated accounts. So, if someone has several accounts, they’ll need several phone numbers or email addresses. We’ll begin our investigation by focusing on phone numbers.

Step 1. Find their other phone numbers

You can find someone’s phone number in a few ways, like asking them directly, checking social media, or looking in a phone directory. But honestly, after trying a bunch of stuff, we found that a people search tool like TruthFinder is a more efficient way to go.

TruthFinder excels at finding information about people, including phone numbers. Just enter the person’s name, along with details like their middle initial and age, and it can generate a report that may contain their potential phone numbers under the CONTACT section.

Beyond phone numbers, TruthFinder could also dig up social media profiles, email addresses, and other valuable information, helping you explore their presence on social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and even some dating sites. This information can also reveal some of their commonly used usernames, potentially leading you to their hidden Snapchat profiles (see Method 2).

Note that people search tools like TruthFinder usually require a paid subscription for full access. For the best experience, consider subscribing before starting your search.

Search phone numbers with TruthFinder

What makes TruthFinder our top choice for finding phone numbers?

TruthFinder taps into a wide range of public data, including government records, social media platforms, website pages, and some exclusive sources that might not be easy to get on your own. That’s partly why it kept outperforming other popular services in our tests, uncovering the most phone numbers and email addresses. In fact, when we tested it with 20 people, TruthFinder found more information than a competing service for 16 of them.

What’s more, TruthFinder labels each phone number (mobile, VoIP, Landline, etc.), which can be really helpful because Snapchat accounts are typically linked to mobile numbers. This feature lets you quickly filter out less relevant results.

Step 2. Sync your contacts with Snapchat

Now that you have their potential phone numbers, you can move to the next step: syncing the contact list with Snapchat. This could help you identify any matching Snapchat accounts.

  1. Save these phone numbers in the contact list of your phone, and don’t forget to add the country code in front of each number.
  2. Open the Snapchat app on your phone.
  3. Tap the add friend button in the upper right corner.
  4. Tap All Contacts next to Quick Add.

If Snapchat doesn’t have access to your contacts, you’ll see a prompt. Just follow the instructions to grant access in your device settings.
  5. Snapchat will show you which of your contacts are already on Snapchat, using the names you have saved for them in your phone’s contact list. So you’ll instantly know who’s who.
  6. To check if any account belongs to the person, tap and hold the account, then select “View Profile” (or “View Friendship” on Android). Their Bitmoji and public profile (if enabled) will appear, potentially including their Stories and location.
Why don’t I see any Snapchat accounts after syncing sometimes?

Even if you’ve gathered several possible phone numbers, Snapchat might still not find a match. This could happen for a few reasons:

  • No account: The person might not have other Snapchat accounts. Try logging in to Snapchat with the phone numbers. If there’s no account linked, you’ll see a message saying so.
  • Incomplete data: The phone number linked to the account might not be in the data sources of the phone number finder you used, probably because the data is incomplete or the people opted out.
  • Privacy settings: The person may have turned off the option to be found by their phone numbers.
  • Blocked: if they’ve blocked you, their accounts won’t show up in your suggestions.

When this happens, you can try searching for their other social media profiles that are possibly linked to these possible phone numbers. For more information, view How to Find Social Media by Phone Number.

Are there any free tools to find someone’s phone numbers?

Yes, there are a number of free online tools that can help you find possible phone numbers associated with a person. Among them, TruePeopleSearch stands out as a relatively effective choice.

Keep in mind that free tools might not always find who you’re looking for. They often don’t have as much information or get updated as often as paid ones do. Still, they’re worth a try if you’re on a budget.

Why do multiple numbers show up in my reports?

When you’re searching for someone’s number, you’ll probably get a few different results, and not all of them will be correct. Don’t worry, this is totally normal. Phone number finders pull data from lots of places, and sometimes things can get mixed up. Plus, old phone numbers get reused, so they might show up even if they don’t belong to the person anymore.

If this happens, you can save all the numbers one by one and check the linked accounts just to be sure (see “How to spot the right profile”). Or, to save time, just focus on the mobile numbers, since those are the only ones you can use for signing up on most apps anyway.

2. Discover their other usernames & search

Usernames are another valuable clue for finding hidden Snapchat accounts. People tend to reuse the same or similar usernames across different platforms, so if you know some of their commonly used usernames, try searching for them on Snapchat – you might just find their accounts.

Plus, since Snapchat only lets users change their usernames once a year[2], it’s a pretty reliable identifier. Here are a few hints to help you find those usernames:

Hint 1. Check their usernames on other social platforms

If you already know them on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, take a look at their usernames. See if there’s a pattern or a common theme. Then, try plugging those usernames into Snapchat and check if any relevant accounts pop up.

Hint 2. Spot usernames from their email addresses

Don’t forget that email addresses could be a treasure trove when you’re trying to find someone’s usernames. Many people create email addresses using a variation of their preferred username.

For example, if someone’s email address is Johnsmith123@example.com, it’s reasonable to guess that their usernames might be Johnsmith123. By analyzing the structure and components of an email address, you can generate some potential usernames to try when searching on Snapchat.

Hint 3. Make some guesses

The simplest way is to guess based on what you’ve known about them. If you happen to know the person’s social media accounts other than Snapchat, you can look them through and note down their usernames. Think about how this person typically creates usernames. Do they use their full name, name initials, or maybe a nickname? Try a few different combinations.

  • Full names: JohnSmith, or SmithJohn
  • Name initials: JSmith, or SJohn
  • Nicknames: Johnny
  • Birth year and other numbers: JSmith89, or Johnny35
  • Hobbies: GuitarJohn, or JohnnyGuitar

The more variations you try, the better your chances of finding their other Snapchat profiles.

Reminder: Find someone’s usernames quickly with TruthFinder

TruthFinder can be very helpful for discovering someone’s possible Snapchat usernames, especially if you only have limited information or are seeking a more convenient method. During one subscription, you can access its name, phone number, and email address searches. That means you can start with whatever details you have about them.

  • Pay attention to the possible email addresses: TruthFinder could provide you with a few possible email addresses the person might have in seconds, and you can focus on the first half of them (the username). They might be using them as the usernames of their Snapchat accounts.

  • Extract usernames directly from their social media profiles: Under the SOCIAL section, TruthFinder might show the person’s possible social media profiles. From there, you can see their usernames and search for them on Snapchat.

3. Search for their real name on Snapchat

It might seem obvious, but you can actually search for someone’s real name directly within the Snapchat app. Lots of people don’t use their real name as their username, but they might have it included in their display name. So, you may open up Snapchat, go to the search bar, and type in their full name to see if anything comes up.

Of course, if they have a common name like “John Smith”, you’ll probably get a ton of results, making it hard to pinpoint the right person. It’s easy to get mistaken for someone else in that case, like the example we saw where someone received a random friend request because of similar names[3].

Besides, not everyone uses their real name on every social media platform, so they might have something completely different on Snapchat. If you know any details about their profile picture, location, or name patterns, that could help narrow down the search.

Tips: How to spot the right profiles among many

It can be challenging to locate the correct person on Snapchat when presented with numerous results. However, there are some helpful tips to simplify the process:

  1. Start with the display name and username: Look closely at both. Even if their full name isn’t the username, they might have a variation of it, a nickname, or initials. Pay attention to any unique spellings or numbers they might use.
  2. View the profile picture: If you know what the person looks like, even vaguely, this is a crucial step. Scan through the profile pictures of the search results. Even a blurry or partially obscured picture can sometimes be enough to recognize someone.
  3. Check the bitmoji: While not everyone creates a Bitmoji that’s a perfect likeness, they often reflect some aspect of the person’s appearance, style, or personality. Look for distinctive features, hairstyles, or clothing choices that might match what you know about the person.
  4. Look for location clues (if available): Some Snapchat users choose to share their location publicly. If you know where the person lives or frequently visits, this can be a helpful filter. However, keep in mind that location sharing isn’t always accurate or enabled.
  5. Explore public stories (if they have any): If they have a public profile, you might be able to view their Stories. Even a quick glance at a Story can sometimes reveal identifying details like their voice, environment, or activities.

4. Make use of Snapchat’s Quick Add

Snapchat’s Quick Add feature suggests friends based on a few things. While we don’t know exactly how it works, after using it for a while, it seems like mutual friends, shared interests, interactions, and maybe even location play a big role. So, the more you have in common with someone, the more likely they are to pop up in your Quick Add. As this person online mentioned, even if they don’t know about their partner’s hidden Snapchat, it still gets suggested since they have enough connections[4].

You can follow these steps to potentially increase the chances of the person showing up in your Quick Add:

  • Add mutual friends:  Adding some of their friends could help. The more mutual friends you have with someone, the more likely they are to appear in your Quick Add.
  • Share contact information: Make sure you have their phone numbers saved in your contacts and have granted Snapchat access to your contacts.
  • Enable location access: If you’re in the same area as the person you’re trying to find, make sure you’ve got location services turned on for Snapchat. It might help them show up in your suggestions.

Just so you know, there’s no guaranteed way to make someone specific pop up in Snapchat’s Quick Add. It’s a complex algorithm, and while things like mutual friends can influence it, there’s no certain method to manipulate it.

What you should know about Quick Add

Quick Add suggests friends to you, and you’ll also appear as a suggestion for others. If you’d like to keep your searches a bit more under wraps and avoid being suggested to someone in particular, you can turn Quick Add off. Just go to your profile, tap Settings, then under PRIVACY CONTROLS, toggle off See Me in Quick Add. Similarly, if they’ve turned this off, you won’t see them in Quick Add either.

How to view a Snapchat profile without logging in?

Let’s say you’ve got a few possible usernames in mind, but you don’t have Snapchat yourself, you can still find and view their profiles. The easiest way is to type snapchat.com/add/[username] into your browser, replacing [username] with the ones you have. If they have a public profile associated with that username, it should pop up.

Another option is using a social media search tool like Super Easy Username Search. These are handy because they search across many platforms at once. Just enter the username, and it’ll show you matching profiles on different social sites, including Snapchat if they have a public one. This can give you a broader view of their online presence and might even uncover other social media accounts you weren’t aware of.

Note: Super Easy Username Search provides direct links to the relevant social media profiles. For the best experience, log in to your social media accounts first, as some platforms require it for profile viewing.
